particleIllusion 3.0.3.0 is an application that lets you create special effects.
That effects can be explosions, smoke, fire, sparkles, motion graphics backgrounds, space effects, creatures, and abstract artistic effects, among hundreds more.

The first time you run the program, and later periodically, it will check if there are updates available, using your Internet connection. If it finds anything, it will offer you to download and install that updates. Since the program installs only one type of emitter, the main updates will be other emitters that you can use to generate your effects.

You will also see some paid updates available, that you can purchase if you want.

You can then begin to create your projects. You can use the ready-made effects that are already installed in the program, and then customize every aspect of the effects to fit your needs.

In any moment you can preview the result of your work by pressing the "Play" button.

When you´re satisfied with the result, you can save your project or export it in your desired format.
